A few quiet questions

If yours is not here, it is not a silly one. ask it and it will probably end up on this page.

Before you come

Do you work with children?

Yes. Anita has a special interest in supporting children and families, particularly those navigating autism, ADHD, and other additional educational needs. A parent or carer books and consents to any session with a child.

How many sessions will I need?

There is no set number, and you are never asked to commit to a course of anything. Some people come once. Others come for a while. We talk about it honestly at the end of each session.

Is what I say kept private?

Yes. What you say stays between us. Your details are stored securely, encrypted, and never sold or shared. The only exception is a serious concern about someone's safety, which any practitioner is obliged to act on.

During a session

What happens in my first session?

We talk first, and you say as much or as little as you want to. Nothing has to be explained well, or in order.

It is a collaborative process in which your experience, your boundaries and your pace are honoured.

Will I need to take my clothes off?

No. EFT is done seated and fully clothed. Jin Shin Jyutsu® involves no massage, manipulation or pressure, and the touch is light and applied through clothing.

Is this a replacement for my doctor or my medication?

No. This is a complementary approach to wellbeing. It is not a replacement for appropriate medical or psychological assessment, diagnosis or treatment, particularly where significant physical or mental health concerns are present.

Never stop or change prescribed medication because of a session. If your doctor has advised something that conflicts with anything said here, follow your doctor.

Will this cure or heal my condition?

No outcome is promised. These sessions support wellbeing alongside the medical care you already receive. Where this site describes what people notice after a session, it is describing what people have reported, not a result you are being promised.

Do I have to talk about what happened?

No. There is no requirement to tell every detail of your story, and no need to push yourself into an experience before you feel ready.

What if I cry?

Then you cry, and we carry on when you are ready. It is common, it is not a problem, and there is no version of it that is embarrassing here.

Booking and payment

What if I need to cancel?

That is never a problem, just let me know as early as you can, so the time can go to someone else.

Do I pay when I book?

No. Nothing is paid through this website.

Training and mentoring

Do I need any experience with EFT before booking a session or a workshop?

No. No previous experience is necessary, just an open mind and a willingness to explore a gentle approach to emotional wellbeing.

Can I learn EFT for myself, rather than have a session?

Yes. The Introduction to EFT workshop is designed for anyone curious about the technique, and the EFT International pathway runs from Level 1 through to advanced Level 3 practitioner training.

Do I need experience before taking EFT training?

Not for Level 1, which is open to anyone. Level 2 assumes Level 1, and Level 3 assumes Level 2. The pathway is taken in order.

This is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis or worried about your immediate safety, call 999, NHS 111, or Samaritans free on 116 123, at any hour.

When you feel ready

There is no rush, and no obligation. If you would rather ask something first, that is a perfectly good place to start.
